I was born and raised in the southern tip of that little island off the coast of New Jersey called Manhattan. I’ve always had a passion for anything that involves paint, clay, fabric, colored pencils, non-colored pencils, and candy. My training in math and science combined with my interest in visual aesthetics and how people see things led me to pursue graduate studies in visual perception. Taking my PhD in psychology from New York University with me, I left my urban life on the concrete island in 2008 and arrived in the peaceful green pastures of Nashville where I lived for 5 years with my son Remo, my daughter Emmy, and my lifetime partner-in-crime (this guy). We moved back up north to Cambridge, MA, in 2013 where our second baby girl, Maya, was born and where we currently wreak havoc.
